State Level Advisory Board (attached to MSME-DI Hyderabad) Meeting
held on 21st July, 2008

The First Meeting of the State Level Advisory Board attached to MSME-DI, Hyderabad was held on 21st July 2008 in the Conference Hall (Finance), AP Secretariat, under the Chairmanship of Shri B.Sam Bob, IAS, Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Government of AP. Smt. Y.Srilaxmi, IAS, Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Govt. of AP and Shri N K Prasad, IAS, Commissioner of Industries, Govt. of AP were also present. Shri Vijay Kumar, Director, MSME-DI is the Member Secretary of the Board.

The Board consists of 34 Members from various Central and State Government Organizations, Autonomous bodies under the Central and State Governments, Financial Agencies like State Level Bankers Committee, Co-operative Finance Corporations for SC, ST, BC and Women, Professor from reputed University, Successful Entrepreneurs and representatives of Industry Associations.

Member Secretary gave a presentation on various developmental schemes of the O/o DC(MSME), Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India.  They include reimbursement of registration amounts for Bar Coding and acquisition of  ISO 9000/14000 certification, setting up of Mini Tool Rooms, Seminars / Awareness Campaigns for protecting Intellectual Property Rights, Subsidies for participating in International Trade Fairs, Establishment of Business Incubators, Financial Assistance for Capacity Building of Industry Associations, Credit Guarantee Fund Trust Scheme for MSEs, Credit Linked Capital Subsidy Scheme for Technology Upgradation etc.

Chairman suggested that many MSMEs and Government Institutions lacked awareness of these schemes.  There is a need to propagate these Schemes among Industry Associations in different parts of the State.  The Institute is popularising these schemes through its various Industrial Campaigns, Awareness Programmes and Training Programmes.
